GOD this thing is amazing! You can feel each layer of steel on this thing. Make sure you research how to care for Damascus Steel before buying. This will never see a dishwasher or stay wet for more than a few minutes. You must keep the blade oiled. While DS is strong and will hold a good edge, it is highly prone to rusting. If you take care of this, you great grand kids will inherit this thing. This knife is a work of art.
